HOW MOBILEs/SMARTPHONEs WORK?? ( PART
2)
All have listened about snapdragon615/mediatekk
,1.5/1GHz/1.7GHz processors dual/quad/octacore like things in a
smartphones.
Lets me clarify this-
The smart phones are working in below four techniques-
1. MOBILE ARTITECTURES-
The
design or architecture of all mobiles is designed by a company called “ARM”. It
sells or gives the design-licences to Four big processor making company i.e.
QUALCOMM (SNAP DRAGON), MEDIATEK, Nvidia & SAMSUNG.
Day by day the designs by ARM is improving
e.g. A5,A7,A9,A11,A15,A53,A59 etc. It means A59 is a improved version than A53
in accordance with performance.
2. TECHNOLOGY-
If any phone needs an improved performance
than it should have less size of transistors. Less the size of transistors used
in a smartphone more efficient & more faster is the processors. This is
done by the upper Four company mentioned. In the competition of producing less
sized transistors Samsung is more ahead from other companies.
Samsung has made 14nm(nano meter) small
transistors, where as Qualcomm has made 20nm small transistors,Mediatek has made
26nm-28nm sized transistors till now.
3. No. OF CORES-
Core in simply means number of hands. In
human beings a person can work with 2 hands than a person doing the same with
one hand. In smartphones ,this technique is working. Dual core means 2
working/tasking in same time, quad core means 4 where as Octacore means 8 working/tasking
at same time.
Main thing here is octacore is better than
quadcore if any only if when the architecture & processor is same. If these
are not same than no one can compare the both.
4. FREQUENCY (GHz)-
Every processor has a clock by which
the processor will work.
1GHz means the processor is working 10cr
times in 1 sec,it will work either one tasking or multitasking( e.g.surfing
internet with multi tab on google crome). Also for 1 task it may take 10times
working of processor(e.g. playing game) depending upon the mode of tasking.
So please have a view on
this blog before buying a smart phone.
